Teacher Limitations to Conduct Collaborative Action Research

There are some limitations for teachers to conduct collaborative action research.

  1. As a basic assumption of bottom-up approaches, teachers, particularly in rural areas, lack of sufficient knowledge and skills to conduct collaborative action research (Pillay, 2002: 12).
  2. Teachers have a limitation about language which prevents them to have access new international literature, mostly published in English (Pillay, 2002: 12).
